Khorake Tone Mahi Jonoobi - Southern Iranian Tuna Fish Dish
"Khorake Tone Mahi Jonoobi" is a traditional Iranian dish from the southern regions of Iran, particularly popular in the Persian Gulf area. It’s a delicious and flavorful dish that combines tuna with aromatic coriander and spices.

Preparation
1. Peel the onion and finely chop it.
2. Peel the garlic and finely chop it.
3. Roughly chop the walnuts.
4. Chop the coriander.
5. Drain the oil from the tuna fish.
Cooking
1. Melt the butter in a pan and gently fry the onions for about 10 minutes over low to medium heat until translucent.
2. Add the chopped garlic and tomato paste and fry for 3 more minutes.
3. Add tuna chunks followed by turmeric, cumin powder, cayenne pepper, black pepper, chopped walnuts and chopped coriander. Combine everything well and fry the ingredients for 3 more minutes.
Serve
This quick and flavorful tuna dish is a delightful representation of southern Iranian cuisine, especially in the coastal regions near the Persian Gulf.
Drizzle some olive oil on your Khorak Tone Mahi. You can also squeeze some fresh lemon juice on it if you like. In southern Iran, this dish is also served with rice. Enjoy!
